Selling scrap should take less time than loading it. This is how it works with us, from the first message to getting paid.
1. Sort what you have
You do not have to sort everything, but keeping the valuable metals apart pays for itself. Copper, brass and aluminium in their own bags or drums. Steel and iron in one pile. Stainless kept out of the iron. When two metals go into one drum, the whole drum is priced as the cheaper one.
2. Get the rate for the day
Call or WhatsApp +971 52 727 0105 with a photo and a rough weight. Scrap prices follow the metal markets, so we quote for that day rather than for the week. If you are not sure what something is, the photo usually settles it.
3. Bring it in, or ask about collection
Small loads come to the yard at Musaffah M42. For drums, pallets, a vehicle or anything you cannot lift, tell us where it is and we will say whether a collection makes sense for the size of the load.
4. Weighed in front of you, then paid
Every load goes on the scale where you can see it. The weight times the day's rate for that grade is what you are paid. If part of a load comes in at a lower grade than you expected, ask and we will show you which part and why.

Common questions
Do I have to sort my scrap before selling it?
No, mixed loads are bought too, but a mixed load is priced lower. Keeping copper, brass and aluminium apart from steel is the easiest way to get more for the same metal.
How is scrap metal priced?
By weight, at that day’s rate per kilo for the grade. Some items, such as whole electric motors, can be priced per piece instead. Call or WhatsApp +971 52 727 0105 for the rate on the day.
Why does the scrap price change from day to day?
Scrap follows the world metal markets, which move every trading day. Copper and aluminium move the most. That is why we quote for the day and not for the month.
