Batteries are bought by weight, not by how well they hold a charge. A dead battery and a weak one are worth the same thing, because what is being bought is the lead inside.
What we take
- Car and truck starter batteries
- UPS batteries from server rooms and offices
- Telecom and standby batteries from cabinets and shelters
- Forklift and equipment batteries
Lithium batteries from phones, laptops and tools are a different material with different handling, so ask before you bring those.
How they are priced
By weight, per kilo. Size and type set the rest: a truck battery weighs several times a small car battery, and industrial standby cells weigh more again. The rate moves with the lead market, so we quote on the day like everything else.
Handling, which is not optional
- Keep them upright. A battery on its side leaks, and a leaking battery is a problem for everyone who touches it after you.
- Do not stack them loose in a car boot. A pallet or a crate is safer and faster to unload.
- Keep them out of a general metal pile. Once a battery is buried in a skip of steel, the whole load has to be gone through before anything moves.
- Tell us if any are cracked or already leaking, so they travel separately.
Larger quantities
A shop clearing a few batteries can bring them straight in. For a server room, a telecom site or a fleet workshop clearing a stack of them, send a photo with a rough count on WhatsApp and we will arrange collection in Musaffah and around Abu Dhabi.

Common questions
Is a dead car battery worth anything?
Yes. Batteries are bought by weight for the lead inside, so a dead battery is worth the same as a weak one.
Do you buy lithium batteries?
Lithium batteries from phones, laptops and tools need different handling from lead batteries, so ask before you bring them.
How should used batteries be transported?
Upright, on a pallet or in a crate, and kept apart from other metal. Tell us about any that are cracked or leaking so they travel separately.
